  • There's NO WAY she will stay clean. You can't play with drugs and alcohol, when you have an addictive spirit inside you. She will keep in and out of hospitals and rehab. Wishful thinking is denial, you have to stop doing ALL drugs and alcohol, going from one drug to another is what addicts do all the time and it don't work. She's gonna end up dead like all these other celebrities with all these enablers around them.

  • k like the shroom room tho omg

  • When it showed her smiling with her new hair I almost cried. I thought "Thats the real Demi." As someone who is struggling with their own identity and gender roles that meant a lot.

  • when elton and scooter said the whole thing about moderation was like a whole slap in the face

  • honestly her laugh 😂

  • I think I'm in love again! 😍 along with Blackwell. 😂

  • Damn Demi. You NAILED it! I feel like we literally lived the same life with different circumstances/life. Lol I sound crazy now. 😅

  • Celebrity drug addict

  • Speak truth, Elton...Thank you Demi for your honesty. Many wish you the best as do I. From a person like you, keep on living and fighting with that beautiful smile. 💝

  • thank goodness i never had an addiction

  • it’s so hard taking care of myself 😥

  • her sisters seem awesome

  • $ does not take away pain

  • Transcendental Meditation, girl. Depression cure...

  • Your recovery is your recovery I can tell you firsthand that there are many many pathways of recovery what works for you is not going to work for someone else in your recovery only you know what path to recovery is going to work for you if it works for you then that is amazing I am proud of you for realizingWhat you need in your life and what you don’t need love the documentary keep rocking it

  • Que bom ver o Elton John ❤️❤️

  • Aww did anyone else noticed the Selena t-shirt???

  • I lost my cousin January 2017 to Heroin laced with Fentanyl. This hits very close to home. Wish you the best Demi! To the ppl saying moderation can’t be done- maybe that will work for her! Only she can know that & hopefully know when to stop or get help if/when she starts to spiral.

  • Woopee. She hasn't picked up any hard drugs.

  • Elton John "She's perfect but of course we are not perfect"

  • Demi's team PLEASE hire a counselor about her addiction. Addiction is a lifelong thing and cannot fix in a snap of a finger

  • Is her sister LeAnn Rimes?

  • I love the new look, she looks great. 💜

  • I wish this had more episodes.

  • it makes me wildly uncomfortable her case manager is agreeing that moderation is possible with someone who is addicted so several diff. substances and has a predisposition to overuse. Im glad Elton John said it like it is, and I hope Demi works through this and comes to the same conclusion in a healthy and safe way.

  • May the Lord bless her and you, reader.

  • dancing with meth and heroin

  • "Dancing with the Devil"? Says it all...

  • elton john is being realistic

  • She literally said it herself. She got a bottle of wine and immediately went off the deep end. Why is she lying to herself now saying she can drink and smoke weed "in moderation" No you can't, honey.

  • She doesn't seem okay here to me. It's in her eyes. I hope I'm wrong.

  • She is so beautiful, adorable and relatable without makeup. Makeup dnt do justice with her innocence make her look blank. Her pale smooth face, dark hair is beautiful❤.

  • Demi you're amazing

  • I don’t understand why they give a junkie a documentary they’re plenty of junkies on the streets who would like a documentary for free.I guess Americans idolize junkies it’s part of the culture 😂

  • The authenticy is beautiful! I love her personality. I wish her nothing but hope, peace, and healing. ❤🧡💚💚💙💜

  • Demi your beautiful from the bottom of my heart

  • I hear the concern of her doing moderation, but we have to understand the psychology of addiction is ever growing. What has worked for a lot like abstinence does not work for everyone. I respect Elton but I don't agree with his blanket statement. I think the best thibg to do if you suffer or have suffered from addiction that you speak to a therapist who helps you and figure out the best recovery plan for you.

  • I don’t think she’s bipolar. I don’t see the mania in her eyes, even hypo mania. Also bipolar has a lot in common with PTSD and CPTSD.🤷🏼‍♀️

  • Here in Switzerland, moderation therapy is really growing and working for much more people than plain sobriety. Nothing works for EVERYbody. Addiction is no different from that... Love you Demi and be really careful but keep going on Girl, you got that 💪🏻♥️

  • 28:18 hahahaha, I love this!!! I love her autenticity!!!

  • It’s very apparent that Demi has a lot of HIGHS and a lot of LOWS. She cannot find a balance between the two and I think that’s why when she’s down she’s down to the point where she can’t see a light. Her constantly trying to reinvent herself is her trying to fill the next void. It’s so sad to see her reach for the next thing when that next thing will not fulfill her. She’s looking for outside sources when the source is already within her.

  • Hahahha her laugh😂😂😂

  • Harm reduction is a thing, and it’s being pushed so much in recovery now. Some.. very few addicts don’t have an alcoholic gene. Marijuana is proven to be a harm reduction, and addicts can still have a drink once in awhile. But considering her situation when she overdosed, she was drinking. Which is super risky to be drinking Bc she wasn’t making clear decisions under the alcohol to begin with.

  • After hearing this California sober term I stopped watching, or caring. Seems like all this was filmed only to profit more money, and fame nothing more. I requested a refund with iTunes and was refunded within 48 hours, won’t be getting rich out of me, not today satan!!

  • I love love love LOVE the hairstyle Demiiii

  • Lotsa love Demi 🖤🖤

  • I absolutely love demi. I myself lost both parents and 4 siblings to addiction. I was an addict for 3 years and lost everything, including my daughter and unborn baby. I was found by a pimp at my weakest whom got me pregnant and forced me into prostitution. Where he got me pregnant and beat me everyday. Broke my teeth out and would strip me naked and make me walk down the street in shame. Hechaimed me to the porch out in the back yard and also chained the fridge a d only let me eat once every 2 days so. I didn't gain too much weight even being pregnant. In the end, I was found beaten naked in the side of a busy street in Phoenix AZ. That day, at 7 months pregnant I lost my unborn son. I tried to take my life and in that, I survived and been clean almost 3 years now. Today I actually got custody back of my daughter. I own a cleaning service and do everything I can to do better everyday. Demi shows us the ugly side of fame. She shows the real person and the real struggles. I absolutely love and adore her. Keep everything wonderful up girl. We love you so much

  • As an ex alcoholic who almost died multiple times and currently drinks and smokes in moderation, everyone assuming she is making a mistake is doing so without being in her shoes. She absolutely can't become complacent in her addiction, as she's said, but some people need something to help and unless you want them on harder prescriptions like xanax let them have some weed and a drink now and then

  • Gosh wow wow. I have so much to say, about so many things. Not in a negative way, not necessarily in a positive way. This one hit everything. 1st, Thank you for putting this out here. Wow. And 2nd 3rd all the rest. U touched everything gosh!. THIS IS ABOUT ANY TOPIC THAT HITS U. ITS HERE. THIS IS ABOUT IF NONE IF IT INTERESTS U OR HITS U.......THIS IS HERE TO EDUCATE PEOPLE MOST OF ALL. Amen and thank you for doing this.

  • This is what happens when you have all the time and money in the world and zero discipline or guidance

  • o love no bs

  • I just really hope the path she chose works for her. I've never been in a situation like this, so my opinion shouldn't matter. I just don't want there to be a third much more darker documentary:(

  • Demi is perfect in my eyes tbh she's so damn strong and real only celebrity i look up to

  • Just feel the need to point out to everyone with their “moderation doesn’t work” comments; ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL IN RECOVERY. it didn’t work for you or your friend or sibling or parent. But it works for DEMI. Balance is key. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk. 👏🏻😊

    • What'd she say herself though? "Just a glass of wine, I'll be fine"

  • what a ride

  • Am I the only one upset that she didn’t bring Wilmer up and how he stuck by her in the hospital???

  • 🙄

  • i don’t think her eating is healed at all

  • elton !!!

  • As someone with bipolar who has looked up to Demi for so many years and felt like I finally had someone I could identify with when she came out with her diagnosis, I have to say it hit me really hard to hear that she was misdiagnosed. Don't get me wrong, I am happy she doesn't have to deal with this disease, but I feel kind of alone now. I know it doesn't make sense. I do just want what is best for her at the end of the day and know misdiagnosis is common.. it is just really messing with my head after all these years....

  • what song is this ? 20:41

  • I don’t see you as a druggy or a drunky I see you as a human being who is working their way for survival love the hair cut you look beautiful ❤️🙏🏽

  • Did anyone else feel how raw the pain was in her expression and her voice?...damn

  • that hair cut reveal was EVERYTHING it looked like demi's soul came out in the physical world

  • Her mother seems in denial.

  • I hope it works out but my dad has been an addiction counselor in the hospital for years and it’s never worked out. :( Atleast from what he’s seen

  • Some people say moderation doesn’t work but in my experience, it does. I have a close family member that for a substantial period of their life they were addicted to crack cocaine. They got clean and they found that weed/cannabis/marijuana helps calm and put to rest that constant need and desire to go and snort some crack or even smoke it. They have been sober for about 12 to 13 years, there’s been slip ups but with lots of support and understanding they will always make it through. I’m so glad that Demi has such a big support system and the freedom to try and see what does and what doesn’t work for her. We’re all different and we shouldn’t ever generalize because every body copes with certain things and adapts to situations in the best way they can.

    • With alcohol, that’s a different story... I just hope she stays strong and healthy.

  • The fact that when i hear her voice shake when she's talking, I know that's her anxiety, because I do the exact same thing. 🥺 I wish she understood how much of an impact this series is making!

  • I love you Demi

  • Loser, never feel sorry for losers who are users!!

  • I see a lot of people just saying that she's surrounded by "yes" people. But what I see is people who understand that her being fully sober can't be THEIR choice. She has to be in control of that. And moderation can work for some people.

  • I feel so many conflicting feelings watching this. Know you’re loved and take care, Demi.

  • Being my queer self.... Is that her coming out? Just genuinely curious?

  • Demi didn’t release her documentary for your opinions on her, it’s for her to tell her story and side and it’s so sad to see “fans” drag her in the comments because they disagree

  • Demi I love you so muchhhh, thank you for being so open and honest with us

  • I get the impression she feels guilty about her OD & relapse, but isn’t actually ready to be sober. So, she walks the line - and tries moderation. It appeases her enablers, and relieves her guilt. She feels in control & is still able to indulge - all while feeling guilt free since they all condone her approach. I pray this works for her, and wish her only the best.

  • I understood nothing

  • I wish I had friends like Demi has to get through my addictions smh it’s hard and difficult but Demi is helping me so much

  • I want a cloud thing like that!!

  • Addicts cannot use in moderation. Period. It just does not work.

  • Medical Cannabis can save lives

  • Commander in Chief is the most ridiculous song I have ever heard for so many reasons.

  • am I like the only one scared at how AIRBRUSHED Christina's makeup looks like??

  • Omg when she said i mourn the person i thought he was or whatever i felt that so much. I let someone in after a long time and i was fooled. He pretended to be everything i wanted. He wasnt

  • Does anyone know why she broke up with that guy

    • He was obsessed, or something with trying to get a Disney star he would tweet about Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Demi. Search Max Ehrich Selena Gomez tweets.

  • I would skip the drinking and just stick to cannabis .

  • her haircut is the cutest

  • 21:02 is where Dying for your love Snoh alegra was shot... yes!!

  • I think the weed is fine but the alcohol will be the problem.

  • ?????????????????????????????????????

  • Elton John was the only one in this documentary who knows. Moderation doesn't work. Sugar coated documentary with shitty message. I love her music but... nope. Just nope.

  • Love her laugh!

  • 26:37 she is so fire I just can't 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  • These comments don’t pass the vibe check. As a former addict clean off hard drugs moderation was my baby step towards Recovery. Recovery is not one size fits all. Demi had done moderation for 2 years so that’s proof it works and it keeps her off hard drugs. So y’all she’s still learning and growing so stop saying she’s gonna overdose again because she won’t

  • whats it gonna take for youtube to stop showing me Demi Lovato ads. please I cant take it anymore
